and organizes fellowship opportunities for the congregation, such

such as retreats, inter-denominational conferences, annual gatherings,

help and cleanup for church suppers, lunches, etc. |

Organizes and
maintains a prayer chain for the church. |
| Sunshine
(Congregational Care) |
| Identifies
spiritual and practical needs of St. Stephen's Church members and
organizes efforts to meet those needs including: |

Coordinates meals
for new moms or for those ill or recovering from surgery. |

Plans meals as
needed, e.g., funerals, special events, etc. |

Visits and corresponds
with those unable to attend church. |

Makes new members
feel welcome and helps them become involved in church activities.

purchasing of flowers for Sunday morning worship. Flowers are paid
for by individual who contacts volunteer about purchasing flowers
in honor of, or in memory of, loved ones. Appropriate announcement
is placed in bulletin. |
| Praise
Team |
 |
Leads congregational
singing in primarily contemporary Christian songs twice a month
during Sunday morning worship. Occasional practices may be required. |
| Sacristy |
 |
Ensures the
elements for communion, items for reader boards, paraments, and
the Bibles, hymnals, and prayer books are satisfactory for worship
each Sunday. |
| Ushers |
 |
Assist with
communion and collection of tithes and offerings. Serves for a period
of one month. |
| Welcoming |
 |
Greets churchgoers
at Sunday morning worship, hands out bulletins, and assists visitors
with general information and directions to Sunday School classrooms,
nursery, and cribbery. Serves for a period of one month. |
